Mandatory vaccination as a part of a comprehensive safety program Many local unions have been responding to questions from members on mandatory vaccinations. Niki Lundquist in our legal department has prepared an updated communication to local unions to help sort through the basis on which the union should evaluate workplace mandatory vaccine policies as they are getting introduced in units across the country. You will find the memo attached for your information. As always, we remain available if your local union is dealing with difficult questions or a situation you may need help with. Unifor's officers, staff team and national representatives are here to help. We ask that you stay as safe as you can. Our members will require of us a continued advocacy throughout this fall and winter, as the pandemic continues to evolve.
