CFRB-AM Ratified!

 

I am thrilled to announce that the CFRB-AM Collective Bargaining Agreement has officially been ratified! This is a significant achievement for all of us, reflecting the hard work, dedication, and unity of our members. We believe this agreement not only addresses our current needs but also lays a strong foundation for future members.

One of the key highlights is the improved wage grid, featuring a 7% pay increase over the next three years, ensuring fair compensation that reflects the value of our work.

​

We’ve also secured important improvements in vacation, scheduling, and hours of work. These include:

• Recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as a paid holiday.

• Increased turnaround time between shifts to 12 hours, supporting better rest and work-life balance.

• Extended lunch periods to allow more time for breaks and overall well-being.

I want to extend my deepest gratitude to Jake Moore, our National Representative, for his relentless efforts in securing the best possible deal for our members. I also want to thank Mike Catherwood, CFRB Unit VP, and Tony Tedesco, our Steward, for their dedicated work on the bargaining committee. Their leadership and commitment played a crucial role in this success.
